Privacy Policy

Last updated

This website is run by Guadalupe & Harrison for the Ruiz-Williams wedding. It shares information about the wedding with our guests. This page explains what information the site collects, how we use it, and which services help us run it.

Information you give us

The site only collects personal information that you choose to submit.

When you RSVP, the form asks for the names of the people in your party, whether each person is attending, and a phone number or email address. You can also add a song request or a message.

We use RSVP information only to plan the wedding and to communicate with guests about it.

Wedding photos

We plan to add a feature that lets guests share their photos from the wedding. It isn’t available yet. As designed, photos that guests choose to upload will be kept in our private wedding photo archive and shown in a password-protected gallery for our wedding guests.

The feature is designed to remove location information embedded in photo files before they are stored. Please only upload photos you’re comfortable sharing with other guests.

Visits to the site

The site keeps anonymous, overall counts of activity, such as how many times each page is viewed, so we can see how the site is used. These counts aren’t linked to your name or to any account.

Services that help run the site

We use these third-party services to operate the site’s features. Each has its own privacy policy.

  • Vercel hosts the website.
  • Google Sheets stores RSVP responses.
  • Upstash stores the site’s anonymous visit counts.
  • YouTube provides the ceremony livestream player on the Watch Live page.
  • Cloudinary processes uploaded wedding photos once the photo feature is available.
  • Google Drive stores the wedding photo archive once the photo feature is available.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell personal information.
  • We don’t use personal information for advertising.
  • We don’t record IP addresses in RSVP responses or visit counts, and we don’t use device identifiers to track visitors. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes IP addresses as needed to deliver the site.
  • We don’t intentionally collect precise location information.

Questions, corrections, and removal

If you have a question about your information, or would like us to correct or remove something you submitted, email us at ruizwilliams016@gmail.com and we’ll do our best to help.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we’ll change the date at the top of this page.
